	Acupuncture: applies needles, heat, pressure, and other treatments to one or more places on the skin known as acupuncture points. Acupuncture is a balancing method to regulate qi traveling in the meridians of the body like water travels in a stream. This universal life energy called Qi is present in every living creature. This energy circulates throughout the body along specific pathways called meridians. As long as this energy flows freely throughout the meridians, health is maintained, but once when flow of energy is blocked, the system is disrupted and pain and illness occur.
	Acupuncture works to restore normal functions, harmonizing and balancing by stimulating certain points on the meridians in order to balance the Qi energy. It improves circulation and allows the body to heal itself more quickly and completely.

	Needle Free Acupuncture: Points along the meridian channels may be treated with acupressure, cupping, cold laser or moxibustion. Moxibustion: Moxibustion is the burning of Mungwort, an herb that stimulates and builds qi in the meridian channels. It comes in various forms, including creams and liquids that are used without burning.

	Cold laser, or low level lasers have been used since the 1980's in China, Austria, Spain, Hungary, Russia, Poland and the USA with children, adults. The number of treatments required may be between 10 and forty treatments depending on the conditions treated.
