Acupuncture Treatment Methods

Services/Treatment Methods Performed:

ACUPUNCTURE: applies needles, heat, pressure, and other treatments to one or more places on the skin known as acupuncture points. Acupuncture is a balancing method to regulate qi traveling in the meridians of the body like water travels in a stream.

This universal life energy called Qi is present in every living creature. This energy circulates throughout the body along specific pathways called meridians. As long as this energy flows freely throughout the meridians, health is maintained, but once when flow of energy is blocked, the system is disrupted and pain and illness occur.

Acupuncture works to restore normal functions, harmonizing and balancing by stimulating certain points on the meridians in order to balance the Qi energy.

It improves circulation and allows the body to heal itself more quickly and completely.

NEEDLE FREE ACUPUNCTURE: Points along the meridian channels may be treated with acupressure, cupping, cold laser or moxibustion.

Moxibustion: Moxibustion is the burning of Mungwort, an herb that stimulates and builds qi in the meridian channels. It comes in various forms, including creams and liquids that are used without burning.

  • A clinical trial of TCM moxabustion treatment on two acupuncture points over a period of a week: "…could elevate CD3+ CD4+ T-lymphocytes in normal subjects, whereas decrease the relative proportions of CD8+ T- Lymphocytes in patients with Systemic Lupus Erthematosus. …confirms that indirect moxabustion has different immunomodulation in normal condition and autoimmune status."

COLD LASER, or low level lasers have been used since the 1980's in China, Austria, Spain, Hungary, Russia, Poland and the USA with children, adults. The number of treatments required may be between 10 and forty treatments depending on the conditions treated.

HERBAL: Oriental herbal formulas have a documented history of 6000 years, of use for TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) diagnosed conditions. All the herbal formulas I recommend are produced / manufactured under the highest quality standards in the USA.

Many of these herbal substances that make up the pharmacopeia, one would recognize as food or common herbs. When these herbs are combined, they express properties that impact one's physical make-up in TCM terms. Herbal formulas address particular meridian systems in the body, build one's yin, yang, qi of blood. These formulas also may rid the body of pathogenic factors.

BIOMAT: an energetic, therapeutic FDA approved device to promote healing and wellness. Patients recline for thirty minutes to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of negative ions, far infrared rays and Amethyst quartz.

  • The far infrared vibratory signals are delivered by a high-tech Texas Instrument computer. These vibratory waves "have the ability to remove toxins, which are often at the core of many health problems." Dr. Toshiko Yamazaki, MD.
  • Powerful light rays increase blood alkalinity and speeds cellular renewal during a deep state of bodily relaxation.
  • Reduces swelling and inflammation by improving lymph flow.
  • Increases blood flow of the micro-circulatory system.

Exposure to negative ions whether emitted in nature or from the biomat, are associated with increased serotonin levels.
Negative ions are odorless, tasteless and invisible particles that we inhale in abundance near waterfalls, rain forests and oceans. Scientifically they are molecules with an extra electron helping to alleviate allergies, migraines and sinus problems. Once they reach our blood stream Negative Ions have a positive effect on the rate at which Serotonin is oxidized in the bloodstream, resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, and more mental energy.

  • Relieves pain and joint stiffness
  • Reduces stress and fatigue
  • Increases blood circulation
  • Boosts the immune system
  • Decreases hyperactivity
  • Burns calories and controls weight
  • Removes wastes and toxins
  • Rejuvenates skin and cellular functioning
